Sano Tino Life Design　は2015年6月、

ネパールで作られた″ささやかな、ありふれた”、
でも″愛おしい”手仕事の数々が、
ネパールから遠く離れた皆さまの生活を
少しでも彩るきっかけとなることを夢見て、
また同時に、2015年4月25日と5月12日に発生したネパール大震災による
被害を受けた人たちのサポートを目的に生まれました。

Sano Tino Life Designが生まれたきっかけは、
Sano Tino Life Designの一人、
私がネパールに滞在した2年間という時間の中にありました。
(2013年から2年間に渡り、JICA*青年海外協力隊の村落開発普及員として、
ネパールで活動する機会に恵まれました。）

毎日の生活をネパールの人たちと共に過ごして生きることで、
彼らの笑顔や温かさ、自らが持たずともただ困っている人を助ける、
という強さを目の当たりにし、「家族を愛し、食を楽しみ、子供の成長を願う。」
という、貧富に関係なく本来人間が抱く根本的な願いを
同じように抱いている彼らの生活や心に気が付きました。

勿論、〝貧困”やその他の要因が生み出す様々な問題は事実としてありますし、
この根本的な願いを叶えられない状況も存在し、
解決されるべき問題は複雑に絡み合っています。
ネパールがどのような国として知られているかと考えると、
残念ながらポジティブな印象ばかりではなくネガティブな印象も多いかもしれません。

しかし決してそれだけでなく、大家族で小さな空間をシェアして、
自分たちで栽培した野菜をたっぷりと使ったとびきりに美味しいご飯で、
ワイワイガヤガヤと食卓を囲んだり、身の回りにあるものを驚くほど巧みに工夫し、
自分たちにとってのパーフェクトな状況を作り出して生活を営んだりしているように、
ネパールには全く違った表情もあります。

人々の生活は連綿と営まれています。

その中でも私が心を奪われ続けたのが、
こうした人々の生活スタイルや、
手先が器用なネパールの人たちから生み出される、″サノティノ”たちでした。
ネパールから遠く離れた場所の誰かの生活を、
この″サノティノ”が彩る事が出来たら、
またそこに住まう人たちに想いを馳せ、
新たなネパールを知るきっかけとなる事が出来たらと願って止みません。

Sano Tino Life Design was established in June 2015 
to give more color in your life by small things locally made in Nepal. 
The other aim of Sano Tino Life design is to support 2015,

The inspiration to establish Sano Tino Life Design has emerged while working in Nepal 
for community development in between 2013 and 2015 from JOCV
 (Japanese Overseas Cooperation Volunteer) from JICA*.

I found basic elements for everyone, whether they are rich or poor, is same everywhere.
Like everyone, they love family, they enjoy food, 
they wish for the growth of their children and prosperity in life. 
It came to me because every day, in every circumstance while in Nepal, 
I saw smiles. I saw warmth. I saw a willingness to help others 
with no other motivation than the deed itself.

Unfortunately, there are many problems even some people cannot reach those basic needs, 
and these problems are very complicated but true. 
Although I saw fairly large families living all together in small, 
clay huts that projected nothing but a happiness to be together and to be sharing the day with us.
While they don’t have everything, they are happy and grateful for what they do have. 
Isn’t that the key to happiness?  
In reality Nepal and Nepali lifestyle is different than how it is known 
in the developed countries; it does not match always. 

There is a life which has been heritage for many decades and centuries. 

There is an art which has been nicely crafted. There is a mix of color and beauty of life. 
There, I have been fascinating by Nepalese life styles and those 
“Sano Tino” things which are made by skillful Nepali hands with love and color in life. 
I wish to bring those San Tino stuff in the world that will helps to design your life as well. 
Sano Tino goods may transfer you Nepali ethnic people art for 
those who live in nature and ancient culture.
